The ‘4K’ UHD resolution can be attractive for gaming, video content and desktop usage. The LG UltraGear 32GQ750 (32GQ750-B owing to the black rear) is built with an immersive ‘4K’ experience in mind, with its relatively large VA screen. HDMI 2.1 support is included, providing a ‘4K’ UHD signal for systems including the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The monitor offers familiar UltraGear styling – an angular appearance without overt ‘gamery’ styling. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen and slim hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a central joystick facing downwards beneath the brand logo on the bottom bezel.

A flat 31.5″ 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) VA panel is used, with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. VRR support is included via Adaptive-Sync (and likely HDMI 2.1 VRR), with technologies including AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ supported – with 48 – 144Hz VRR range plus LFC. A matte anti-glare screen surface is adopted, with a 2500:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit colour specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 400 cd/m² typical maximum luminance and 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut. Basic HDR10 support is offered, without effective local dimming specified or a particularly high brightness or generous colour gamut by HDR standards. It will still give a different look to things for a bit of variety, with 10-bit colour and the 90% DCI-P3 coverage put to potentially good use.

Low Blue Light (LBL) settings are included, such as ‘Reader Mode’ which minimises contrast and blue light output to try to provide a more relaxing viewing experience. A 1ms grey to grey response time is specified – approach with extreme caution. The included stand offers tilt, height (110mm or 4.33 inches) and pivot adjustment. It can be removed via a quick-release catch, revealing 100 x 100mm VESA holes for alternative mounting. The ports are located in a recessed area to the right of the stand attachment point, facing backwards, and include; 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, DP 1.4 (with DSC), a 3.5mm headphone jack and DC power input (external ‘power brick’). 2 x 5W MaxxAudio speakers are also included for basic sound reproduction.
