Further information on supporting our work.The 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) resolution provides an excellent pixel density on a 27″ screen, offering benefits for both business and pleasure. The AOC U27B3AF provides this experience, with a simple minimalistic home-office design. This includes extensive use of dark matte materials, with circular stand base. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by buttons beneath the bottom bezel, towards the right side as viewed from the front.
A 27″ IPS-type panel is adopted with 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) resolution, matte anti-glare screen surface and 60Hz refresh rate. Adaptive-Sync support is offered, allowing technologies such as AMD FreeSync and Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ to be used. A 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) colour are specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 350 cd/m² typical maximum luminance and specified 94.9% DCI-P3 (95.4% Adobe RGB, 128.7% sRGB) colour gamut. Low Blue Light (LBL) settings are included to create a more relaxing viewing experience, whilst the monitor offers basic HDR10 support. 10-bit colour reproduction can be used and the reasonable DCI-P3 gamut put to good use, but the brightness is limited by HDR standards and no local dimming is specified.
A 4ms grey to grey response time is specified (pinch of salt required), whilst a tilt and height (110mm or 4.33 inches) adjustable stand features. 100 x 100mm VESA mounting is supported as an alternative. The ports face downwards in a recessed area beneath the stand attachment point and includes; 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, DP 1.4, a 3.5mm headphone jack and AC power input (internal power converter). 2 x 2W speakers are also included for basic sound reproduction.
