Further information on supporting our work.The 3440 x 1440 UltraWide resolution on a ~34″ screen has a lot to offer for both work and play. The AOC CU34P2A is a productivity-focused monitor with this in mind. The monitor has a simple home-office aesthetic. Matte black plastic with a brushed texture is used extensively, including for the bottom bezel and stand base. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, with a slim panel border that’s flush with the rest of the screen plus a slender hard plastic outer component. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by buttons on the underside of the bottom bezel, towards the right side.
A 34″ Samsung SVA (‘Super’ Vertical Alignment) UltraWide panel is used, with 3440 x 1440 resolution and 1500R curve. This is designed to draw you in a little and create a slight feeling of extra depth, without feeling unnatural. It has potential viewing viewing comfort benefits associated with it. A light matte anti-glare screen surface is used to combat glare, whilst a 100Hz refresh rate is supported. Adaptive-Sync also features, including AMD FreeSync with a 48- 100Hz VRR range (plus LFC). Other aspects of note include a 3000:1 static contrast ratio, 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles and true 8-bit colour support. A 1ms MPRT response time is specified using the included MBR (Motion Blur Reduction) strobe backlight feature. A flicker-free WLED backlight is included, offering 120% sRGB coverage (89% Adobe RGB) and a 300 cd/m² typical maximum luminance. Low Blue Light (LBL) settings also feature, enhancing viewing comfort – particularly useful in the evening where blue light exposure should be minimised. The included stand offers tilt, height (150mm or 5.91 inches) and swivel adjustment. It can be easily removed using the included quick-release mechanism if preferred, revealing 100 x 100mm VESA holes for alternative mounting. The ports face downwards and include; 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, DP 1.2a, 4 USB 3.2 ports, 3.5mm audio input and 3.5mm headphone output. 2 x 3W speakers are also included.
