The ViewSonic VX3418-2KPC is one such offering, with a curved VA panel. The monitor has a broad stand base and neck, with dark matte plastics used extensively. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, including a slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen. And a slim hard plastic outer component. The OSD (On Screen Display) controls are buttons at the rear of the monitor, running down the right side as viewed from the front. ‘XG Series’ incorrectly indicated in the marketing image below – this is a ‘VX Series’ model.
This model uses a 34″ 3440 x 1440 (21:9 UltraWide) VA panel with 1500R curve. This is a moderate curve, designed to draw you into the experience for extra immersion whilst potentially enhancing viewing comfort. A light matte anti-glare screen surface is included alongside a 4000:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 8-bit colour (6-bit + FRC). A 144Hz refresh rate is supported, alongside Adaptive-Sync – including AMD FreeSync with a 48 – 144Hz VRR range plus LFC.
