ViewSonic VX3267U-4K – Budget UHD IPS with USB-C

The ViewSonic VX3267U-4K is one such model, featuring an IPS-type panel and supporting USB-C. The monitor has a simple homely style with ‘penguin-foot’ matte black plastic stand base and fairly chunky bottom bezel. The top and side bezels are dual-stage with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by buttons facing forwards towards the right side of the bottom bezel.
A 31.5″ 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) IPS-type panel is used with matte anti-glare screen surface and 60Hz refresh rate, likely a BOE IPS-ADS panel more specifically. A 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) colour support is specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 350 cd/m² typical maximum luminance and assumed ~sRGB colour gamut. Low Blue Light (LBL) settings are included for a potentially more relaxing viewing experience. The monitor responds to HDR10 content in a basic way, allowing 10-bit colour processing to be leveraged but not requiring high brightness by HDR standards, a generous gamut or local dimming to enhance contrast. A 4ms grey to grey response time is specified, which as usual you shouldn’t pay too much attention to. The included stand is tilt-only, with 100 x 100mm VESA holes included for alternative mounting.
