AOC q2770Pqu with WQHD PLS panel

Those following us on Twitter will recall that we brought you news of a WQHD monitor in the works from AOC back in June. In September we gave that monitor its model number. Further details have now emerged on the AOC q2770Pqu. This monitor is part of the company’s ‘Style’ line but doesn’t put style above substance.

Philips 284E5QHAD

In the sea of new IPS monitors being released left, right and centre it is always quite refreshing to see a new VA monitor crop up. For those that like strong contrast and minimal backlight bleed this is generally the LCD panel type to go for. As we’ve seen with the BenQ EW2740L responsiveness isn’t the same barrier it once was for VA panels, either.

BenQ EW2440L and EW2740L

The BenQ EW2440L and EW2740L have recently surfaced. Following on with the company’s ‘Eye-care’ initiative, encompassing models such as the GW2760HS, the key feature here is a ‘flicker-free’ (Pulse Width Modulation free) WLED backlight. Some of the more recent launches have introduced gently rounded corners to give the displays a slightly more ‘homely’ look. The U2414H pays attention to the trend towards super-slim bezels, maximising the visible display area of the screen itself and minimising the bits around it.

BenQ XL2420TE – 144Hz flicker-free

BenQ have unveiled a new 24” gaming monitor at the MLG (Major League Gaming) Spring Championship in California, an event that ran from June 28th until June 30th. The BenQ XL2420TE is an upgraded version of the much-loved XL2420T. Aesthetically the 20TE is very similar to the 20T with the same 24” screen, red accents, fully adjustable stand (height, swivel, pivot and tilt), touch-sensitive buttons and nifty S-Switch rapid control unit on the side.
