Further information on supporting our work. The mixture of size, pixel density and image quality attributes make ~32″ ‘4K’ UHD OLEDs attractive candidates for a range of uses – including immersive gaming. The MSI MPG 322UR QD-OLED X24 offers this experience, alongside MSI’s modern OLED enhancements and design features. The monitor has a simple low-profile stand base with dual-stage bezels at the top and sides (black panel border plus hard outer part). An ‘AI Care Sensor’ hangs beneath the centre of the bottom bezel, able to detect when a user is looking at the screen and dim the screen when they aren’t. It can also put the screen on standby when they leave the desk and turn the monitor on when they return. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick beneath the bottom bezel.
A 31.5″ Samsung Display QD-OLED panel is used with 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) resolution and support for a 240Hz refresh rate. The screen surface is glossy with anti-reflective treatment, including ‘DarkArmor Film’ which is claimed to provide “40% deeper blacks” (i.e. lightens up less in ambient light) and is “2.5x more scratch-resistant”. VRR is supported via Adaptive-Sync and HDMI 2.1 VRR, allowing technologies such as Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ and AMD FreeSync to be used, with 48 – 240Hz VRR range plus LFC. A 1.5m:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit colour are specified. The monitor is ‘flicker-free’, with 300 cd/m² (1000 cd/m² HDR peak) typical maximum luminance and 99% DCI-P3 (97% Adobe RGB, 138% sRGB) coverage. A factory calibration is included with specified DeltaE ≤2, whilst a graphene film heatsink allows passive cooling rather than relying on a fan. A 0.03ms grey to grey response time is specified.
The monitor offers a dynamic HDR10 experience with 10-bit colour plus the generous colour gamut and per-pixel illumination put to work. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified – requiring higher brightness levels, including full screen white brightness, than the more common True Black 400 certification. HDR settings with stronger brightness peaks are also included and you can customise the brightness curve if you want a different brightness experience. The stand offers tilt, swivel and height adjustment (110mm or 4.33 inches). It attaches centrally via a quick-release mechanism and can be removed to reveal provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting, with a ‘Mystic Light’ RGB LED lighting element above the attachment point. The ports face downwards and include; 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, DP 2.1 (UHBR 20), USB-C (96W PD, DP Alt Mode, upstream data), 2 USB 3.0 ports (plus Type-B upstream), a 3.5mm headphone jack and AC power input (internal power converter). KVM is supported and the 3-year warranty included with the monitor covers OLED burn-in for peace of mind.

Further details can be found on the manufacturer’s website. Details on price and availability still to come.
