The Corsair XENEON 34WQHD240-C provides this, in QD-OLED flavour for strong image quality and responsiveness. The monitor includes a lightly coloured broad-footed stand base and neck with contrasting matte black bottom bezel. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic outer part. An ‘active area’ (overprovisioning of pixels) between the image and panel border is included as an image retention mitigation measure. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick beneath the central region of the bottom bezel, with a proximity sensor activating the menu as your hand comes near.
A 34″ 3440 x 1440 (21:9 ultrawide) Samsung Display QD-OLED panel is used with support for a 240Hz refresh rate plus VRR. This includes Adaptive-Sync (and presumably HDMI 2.1), allowing technologies such as Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ and AMD FreeSync Premium to be used. A 48 – 240Hz VRR range plus LFC is supported. The monitor responds to HDR10 content in a dynamic way, putting its per-pixel dimming to good use alongside 10-bit colour reproduction, the generous colour gamut and some good brightness peaks. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certified. A 0.03ms grey to grey response time is specified, which as usual isn’t a figure you should put too much weight on. Though the screen technology is known for its exceptional pixel responsiveness. A height-adjustable stand is included and provision for alternative 100 x 100mm VESA mounting included. The ports face downwards and include; 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, DP 1.4 (with DSC), USB-C (65W PD, DP Alt Mode, upstream data), USB-C upstream (15W PD), 4 USB 3.1 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and AC power input (internal power converter).
