At PCMonitors.info, the privacy of our visitors is of paramount importance to us. This privacy policy document outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by us and how it is used. Log Files

As is common practice PCMonitors.info makes use of log files from Google Analytics. The information inside the log files includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, Internet Service Provider (ISP), browser type, date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. This information is held by Google for a period of 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted. If you would not like your usage to be tracked in this way it is possible to opt out of Google Analytics and prevent tracking cookies being placed on your computer.

Other Cookies

As explained in the subsequent section (affiliations), PCMonitors.info provides links through to Amazon in select posts, reviews and the recommendations section. These cookies automatically expire after 24 hours, and no personal information is gathered. The purpose of these cookies from our point of view is to allow Amazon to track any purchases you make after following any of the affiliate links on our website. This ensures that we are given any commission that is due.

Data Collected After Registering On Forum

When you register on our forum, you are required to provide a valid email address. This is used to notify you of replies to any topics you participate in, which is an automatic process involving no manual intervention. This email address and the IP address used to register on the website will be visible to the website administrator (Adam Simmons), but will not be shared with any third parties. This information is important for spam prevention on our website.

If you no longer wish to participate in the forum and would like this information to be deleted (your ‘right to be forgotten’), please email Adam Simmons. Your request will be processed as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.
