This is offered by the LG UltraGear 32GS75Q (32GS75Q-B owing to the mainly black rear). The screen includes a ‘penguin foot’ stand base and uses dark matte materials for the stand base, neck and bottom bezel. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a central joystick beneath the bottom bezel.
A 31.5″ 2560 x 1440 (QHD or 1440p) IPS-type panel is used, with 180Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync. This allows VRR technologies such as Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ and AMD FreeSync to be used. A matte anti-glare screen surface is included, with 1200:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit colour specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 99% sRGB colour gamut and 400 cd/m² typical maximum luminance. Basic HDR10 support is included at the VESA DisplayHDR 400 level. The brightness, specified colour gamut and lack of local dimming all mean this is a very limited HDR performance. A 1ms grey to grey response time is specified, but as usual don’t take this too seriously. The stand offers tilt, height and pivot adjustment – this stand can be removed to reveal provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting. The ports face backwards in a recessed area towards the right side of the stand and include; DP 1.4, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and DC power input (external ‘power brick’).
