Further information on supporting our work.OLED ultrawides models are attractive to those seeking gaming immersion. This is provided by the Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 (‘PureSight OLED’), the manufacturer’s first OLED gaming monitor. The monitor has a hexagonal stand base with white plastic top and contrasting dark plastic bottom layer. The bezels have a dual-stage design with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen and thin hard plastic outer part. ‘Atmospheric RGB lighting’ strips are found beneath the bottom bezel. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick and buttons at the rear of the screen, towards the right side as viewed from the front. A proximity sensor is included which can put the monitor to sleep if nobody is detected in front of it, a useful addition for an OLED monitor.
A 34″ LG Display WOLED panel is used with 3440 x 1440 (21:9 ultrawide) resolution, alongside 800R (steep) curve to help aid immersion. A 1m:1 static contrast ratio is specified whilst Adaptive-Sync is supported, allowing VRR technologies such as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ to be used. The monitor is VESA Adaptive Sync Display 240 certified and HDMI 2.1 VRR should also be supported. The screen provides ‘flicker-free’ illumination with a 98.5% DCI-P3 colour gamut specified, alongside factory calibration with specified DeltaE <2. A 1300 cd/m² HDR peak typical maximum luminance is specified, with 250 cd/m² typical for SDR expected. The monitor is ‘Eyesafe’ certified (2.0 standard) by TÜV Rheinland, with the blue peak shifted to less energetic wavelengths and the amplitude of the peak reduced to potentially improve viewing comfort.
A 0.03ms grey to grey response time is specified, with OLED technology known to be exceptionally responsive. This model is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, with additional HDR settings offering higher brightness peaks. With this a dynamic HDR10 experience can be provided, with the monitor putting per-pixel illumination, strong brightness peaks and its generous DCI-P3 gamut to good use alongside 10-bit colour support. An ergonomically flexible stand is included which can be removed via a quick-release mechanism, revealing provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting. The ports face downwards and include; AC power input (internal power converter), 2 HDMI 2.1 ports (1 with eARC), DP 1.4 (with DSC), USB-C (140W PD, DP Alt Mode, upstream data) and 2 USB-A ports (plus Type-B upstream). Beneath the bottom bezel just to the left of centre as viewed from the front (for easy access) there is a third USB-A port, USB-C downstream and RJ45 port. 2 x 5W MaxxAudio speakers are included for basic sound output. 2-system Pip/PbP features alongside KVM, allowing easy display input switching and USB peripheral sharing between 2 systems. Availability from March 2025 with a $999.99 USD RRP.
