Further information on supporting our work.240Hz+ QHD IPS models are versatile choices for both work and play. The Gigabyte GS27QXA is one such option, designed with affordability in mind. The monitor makes extensive use of matte black plastic, including a simple squared-off stand base. The top and side bezels feature the popular dual-stage design, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick which faces downwards beneath the central part of the bottom bezel.
A 27″ 2560 x 1440 (QHD or 1440p) IPS-type panel is used, with 260Hz (240Hz + factory OC) refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync support. This allows VRR technologies such as AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ to be used with AMD reporting a 48 – 240Hz VRR range plus LFC. A matte anti-glare screen surface is adopted with a 1200:1 static contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit colour specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 350 cd/m² (400 cd/m² HDR peak) typical maximum luminance and 130% sRGB colour gamut. The monitor responds to HDR10 content in a basic way, at the VESA DisplayHDR 400 level. This allows the reasonable gamut to be put to good use alongside 10-bit colour. But it doesn’t require high brightness by HDR standards and no local dimming is specified. A 1ms MPRT response time is specified using the included strobe backlight setting, but as usual pay little attention to this figure. The included stand is tilt only, though 100 x 100mm VESA holes are included for alternative mounting. The ports face downwards and include; AC power input (internal power converter), 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, DP 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. PiP/PbP is supported
