Further information on supporting our work.A higher than 60Hz refresh rate can be appreciated not just for gaming, but also for productivity. The Dell S2725QC builds on the S2722QC (a popular productivity choice), doubling the refresh rate to 120Hz and adding some other attractive features. The monitor has minimalistic styling with gently rounded rectangular stand base and matching white cylindrical stand neck. The bottom bezel is a dark matte material, whilst the top and side bezels have a dual-stage design with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick at the rear, towards the right side as viewed from the front. A separate dedicated power button is also included.
A 27″ IPS-type panel is used with 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Adaptive-Sync VRR support is offered, allowing technologies such as AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ to be used, with 48 – 120Hz VRR range plus LFC. A matte anti-glare screen surface is employed whilst a 1500:1 static contrast ratio and 178°/178° viewing angles are specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 99% sRGB colour gamut and expected 350 cd/m² typical maximum luminance. The monitor includes ‘ComfortView Plus’ (TÜV Rheinland certified Low Blue Light Hardware Solution), with the peak of blue light shifted to slightly less energetic wavelengths, potentially enhancing viewing comfort. The stand is fully adjustable, including height adjustment and pivot into portrait. It can be removed via quick-release mechanism to reveal provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting. The ports mainly face downwards and include; HDMI, USB-C (65W PD, DP Alt Mode, upstream data) and AC power input (internal power converter). A pop-down hub is located at the bottom of the screen, towards the left side as viewed from the front, which includes a USB-C (15W PD) and USB-A port. 2 x 5W speakers are included for potentially quite rich sound output.
The monitor is available from March 27th 2025 for ~$350 USD.
