Further information on supporting our work. For gaming immersion ~32″ monitors with a high pixel density can be attractive options. The Acer Predator XB323QX is one such option, with a 5K resolution spread across a 31.5″ panel – providing a pixel density of 189.50 PPI (Pixels Per Inch), higher than a 24″ ‘4K’ UHD screen. The monitor includes some familiar styling elements from the series, with coated metal ‘penguin foot’ design and a mixture of grey and black materials. The top and side bezels are ‘dual stage’ with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus slim hard plastic outer component.
A 31.5″ 5120 x 2880 (5K) IPS panel is adopted with 144Hz refresh rate at the native resolution. ‘Dual mode’ (or DFR – Dynamic Frequency and Resolution) allows the screen to run at 288Hz in the 2560 x 1440 (QHD or 1440p) resolution. ‘Full fat’ Nvidia G-SYNC is delivered via a MediaTek scaler. This allows VRR support for Nvidia GPUs and can be accessed via Adaptive-Sync for AMD GPUs (‘FreeSync’) and likely HDMI 2.1 VRR. Nvidia users can also used G-SYNC Pulsar, a strobe backlight setting setting which can be used at the same time as VRR. A matte anti-glare screen surface is included, whilst 178°/178° viewing angles and 10-bit colour support are specified. A flicker-free WLED backlight delivers a 350 cd/m² typical maximum luminance and 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
A 1ms or ‘0.5ms min’ grey to grey response time is specified, which should be taken with the usual pinch of salt. The stand is fully adjustable, including 150mm (5.12 inches) height adjustment and pivot into portrait. Provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting is also provided. The ports include; DC power input (external ‘power brick’), 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and DP 1.4. 2 x 2W speakers are included for basic sound reproduction.
