OLED monitors are very attractive for gaming, with strong image performance and responsiveness. The Acer Predator X32 X2 (not to be confused with various other models in the series, such as X32 X curved QD-OLED or X32 X3 WOLED model) provides this. The monitor has ‘gamery’ styling elements, with dark grey coated metal tripod-style stand base and mixed grey and black elements along the neck. The top and side bezels are dual-stage, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus thin hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick beneath the central region of the bottom bezel.

The Predator aesthetic

A 31.5″ Samsung Display QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) panel is used, supporting a 3840 x 2160 (‘4K’ UHD) resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. Adaptive-Sync can also be used on compatible GPUs and systems, allowing technologies including Nvidia ‘G-SYNC Compatible’ and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to be used. HDMI 2.1 is also included for up to 120Hz ‘4K’ UHD on games consoles such as the Xbox Series X and PS5, as well as providing VRR support. Other aspects of note include a 1.5m:1 static contrast ratio, 10-bit colour and 178°/178° viewing angles. A 250 cd/m² (1000 cd/m² HDR peak, 3% APL) typical maximum luminance is specified alongside 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The panel is known to provide a relatively strong Adobe RGB coverage, too. The monitor includes ‘flicker-free’ illumination, with ‘BlueLightShield Pro’ included – the monitor offers less energetic blue light emission without compromising colour temperature, potentially improving viewing comfort (TÜV Rheinland certified hardware solution). Additional Low Blue Light (LBL) settings are provided for a potentially more relaxing viewing experience.

The monitor responds to HDR10 content in a dynamic way, allowing it to put its generous gamut to good use alongside 10-bit colour, per-pixel dimming and some strong brightness peaks. A 0.03ms grey to grey response time is specified, with OLED technology known for exceptional pixel responsiveness. The stand attaches centrally via a quick-release mechanism and can be removed to reveal provision for 75 x 75mm VESA mounting. The included stand is fully adjustable, including 120mm (4.72 inches) height adjustment and pivot into portrait. The ports face downwards and include; 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, DP 1.4 and a 3.5mm audio output. 2 x 2W speakers are included for basic sound output, whilst we expect some USB ports to be included given other models in the series. The monitor is due from June 2025 in North America ($999.99 USD) and from August 2025 in the UK (£699).
